Sustainability
Everett Graphics is dedicated to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
Since the 1950’s we have sought to preserve the world’s natural resources by finding alternative materials and processes to work with. Our eco-friendly packaging is made from recyclable and compostable materials. Our printing process uses water-based coatings and soy-based inks and we are proud to source our materials domestically.
Everett Graphics was the first company to develop a replacement for single-use clamshell plastic containers.
Switching from plastic clamshells to paper packaging promotes sustainability. Paper, made from renewable resources, is recyclable and lowers plastic waste. It protects products while reducing ecological footprints. Using paper enhances brand image, attracts eco-conscious consumers, and supports a circular economy, benefiting the planet and sustainable practices.
Why your company should make the switch to paper-board packaging.
-
Made from renewable resources, paper packaging is biodegradable and compostable, breaking down naturally without contributing to landfill waste. Its production often requires less energy and generates fewer carbon emissions when sourced from sustainably managed forests. By choosing paper packaging, businesses and consumers alike can minimize their ecological footprint, support responsible forestry practices, and promote a circular economy.
-
Eco-friendly products have become more popular as people are becoming more aware of environmental issues. Shoppers now prefer sustainable options that match their values, choosing items made from renewable resources and eco-friendly methods. Consequently, brands that prioritize environmentally friendly practices are attracting more customers, enhancing their reputations, and building loyalty among consumers who want to support sustainable businesses.
-
Paper-based packaging is emerging as a vital alternative to traditional fossil fuel-based solutions. It significantly reduces carbon footprint and lessens the environmental impact associated with plastic and other petroleum-derived materials.
-
In the US only about 5% - 6% of plastic actually gets recycled. The rest either ends up in landfills or is burned. Paper-based packaging fosters a circular economy, where many paper products can be recycled multiple times. In 2023 The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) reported that 93% of cardboard was in fact recycled.

100% of the reclaimed material from our production lines is recycled.
From the source
By sourcing recycled and post-consumer materials to develop compostable packaging—even for moisture-prone supermarket produce aisles—we’ve been effective in reducing the amount of single-use plastic, Styrofoam, and other materials headed for landfills. US manufacturing also means minimal shipping for a lower carbon footprint.
